The Alexander Technique has revitalised my life.  I walk as if walking on air, I am able to go up and down stairs with ease without my troublesome knee giving in like it used to. By relearning activities like sitting, squatting, bending and standing at my full height, I now have less pain, more flexibility and find moving a lot easier and more pleasurable.  Richard is a fantastic tutor who teaches with gentleness and care for the individual.  Thank you. I have recently been diagnosed as having osteoporosis at 87 and noticing how bent I was getting, I decided to join the “Alexander Technique with gentle yoga” classes at Barbon Village Hall. I have found these most helpful and Alison is a very caring person. She tries to adapt lessons to the individuals needs. She also explains what the reason is for a particular exercise and how it affects the body. It is a friendly, happy class and at the end we all feel both refreshed and relaxed.  Dorothy (aged 87).

The Alexander Technique has opened my eyes and insight into how I can improve my connection with myself and also my clients. It has broadened and deepened my working knowledge of my own application of physical and emotional therapies. Alison is a wonderful teacher who has a fantastic ability to intuit what the mind and body require to release emotional and physical tension.
